We were really inspired by the green tones of Mid-Century and Mediterranean-themed homes from all around the world so were pretty keen on having the same vibe for our kitchen. These gorgeous moss green laminates from Lamitak was the obvious choice for us! We really wanted a proper coffee/tea making space so we carved out one on an extended peninsula. This also gave us plenty of countertop space! We really wanted a vintage-looking chimney hood and the Bertazzoni range looked too sleek to resist! Perfect match with our Moroccan-inspired zellige-type backsplash! We really wanted an open kitchen with a freestanding island but our BTO came with a rather uninspiring galley layout so we had to make do with what we had! So we added a curved peninsula and open shelves to help make the space look a little more interesting yet functional. We also didn't have a dedicated service yard so a washer+dryer combo was essential to keep the space clean-looking and neat without a clothes hanging rack around. Our Samsung washer + dryer combo works super well for our active lifestyles, and doesn't use a crazy amount of electricity too!
