  • Hihi! We actually have a lot of different lighting “modes” at home, depending on how we feel. In this post, I’ll be sharing some of our non-built in ambient lighting options, for when we want to maximise the cosy mood of the house. Starting off with the classic Fairy Lights! The set we have is ‘smart’ and can be controlled via the Tuya app, to adjust the RGB colours and flash pattern settings. We love changing up the colours to suit the various festive celebrations.
  • At our entry way, we added in a display shelf, and styled it with the Papermoon lamp. The soft diffused amber glow really adds warmth to the space.
  • Also in our entry way is a banker lamp that we outfitted with a warm light bulb. The key thing to getting a cosy vibe is to ensure all the bulbs are WARM light, around 2700-3000 kelvins.
  • As our study is glass, we also added in a cute Sowden Floor Lamp here, to liven up the relatively ‘colder’ looking space.
  • This light bar from eden living at our coffee corner is motion activated, and serves a dual purpose as a place to display art prints. The light bar runs off a rechargeable battery and is magnetic. Installation is super easy, as it comes with a metal plate you can just stick onto the wall with the provided adhesive tape. The light bar then just magnetically attaches to the wall.
  • Lastly, we recently added an IKEA x Sonos lamp which also acts as a speaker. We actually got this lamp on a severe discount at the As-Is section in IKEA and did not have time to grab the lampshade that goes with in. I ended up getting a separate pleated paper lampshade online and we really like how it looks!
