  • Welcome to our living room! This is where we host our guests and where we chill and connect after a whole day at work. Our living room is a homage to the timeless elegance of mid-century design, blending simplicity with enduring style. Each piece of furniture and decor is carefully selected to embody this aesthetic, incorporating contrasting textures and materials like warm wood tones juxtaposed with black trimmings and natural tones. Embracing the concept of negative space, our living room is a canvas for the eclectic mix of art prints and mementos collected from our travels around the world. It's a space where simplicity meets sophistication, amidst the curated treasures of curated space.
  • Sometimes having some faux plant into our living room adds a touch of natural vibrancy and tranquility. Nestled at the corner, it integrates with our mid-century inspired decor, enhancing the room's aesthetic appeal.
  • We are definitely art enthusiasts! We employed the use of varying frame sizes to display our art prints, adding an extra layer of visual interest to our living room. By mixing large, medium, and small frames, each showcasing different pieces of art, it creates a dynamic display that pops with contrast against the backdrop of our walls. This arrangement not only draws the eye but also adds depth and dimension to the space, allowing each artwork to shine. Tip: Use 3M frame hooks and tape if you don’t want to destroy your painted walls.
  • Opting for a leather sofa in our living room was a deliberate choice, as its timeless appeal effortlessly complements our concept. Its durability and ease of maintenance make it a practical to clean compared to fabric sofas. The natural grains in the leather texture add subtle touches to detailing.
  • What's mid-century style without a solitary chair nestled in the corner?
  • We intentionally chose a black coffee table to complement the other colors in the room. Adding some touches of brown decor create contrast that stands out.
  • We opted for curtain tracks and used curtains in natural tones to add elegance to the room that also creates an illusion of spaciousness, making the space appear wider. We've also placed a plant in the corner to add a pop of color to the space.
  • In curating our space, we've carefully selected items that blend practicality with the aesthetic while ensure that it blends with our character. One of our favorite displays involves showcasing books alongside with ceramic pieces, creating a harmonious balance between functionality and style that adds a personal touch to our living environment.
  • In our small hallway leading up to the living room, we have a display console that serves both functional and aesthetic purposes. We appreciate how seamlessly it blends into the space, subtly dividing it while also providing a practical surface for keys, mail, and other essentials. Our home is the culmination of our design aspirations, a space where we can showcase our style and character with pride. Opting for mid-century inspiration was a natural choice, as we're drawn to its blend of randomness and timeless elegance. From the curated displays to the carefully chosen furniture pieces, every aspect reflects our passion for creating a home that is both inviting and uniquely ours.
