  • Hey guys! Welcome to our mini living room, in our bedroom! As we host often in our home, having a private space in our bedroom was something very important to us. Though we went a little more maximalist with all the antiques and trinkets in the rest of the house, we marie kondo-ed (as best as we could, hee) for our bedroom!
  • If you can’t already tell, we truly love having a sofa in the bedroom (and this two-seater called out to us with all its plush sink-into-me feels!). We find a lot of respite in being able to soak into the sofa while having our TV dinners and gaming nights together, knowing that we’re in our own little bubble here in this space.
  • This pencil leg heart-shaped table from the 60s was actually a gift from Ronn, which found its home in the bedroom!
  • This piece of Hinoki cypress wood was something we chanced upon when we were at a sustainability fair in Taipei, it reminded us of the Alishan mountains which was our first trip together. It gives off a subtle earthy scent of the forest.
  • We got this window grille from Carousell, this was actually an old grille salvaged from a Tiong Bahru walk-up; initially we wanted to hang plants on the grille but we realised that our plants weren’t getting the sun they needed here, so they all got shifted to our dining room hehe. And of course, our little rascal, Mash!
  • Here’s the view from our window that looks out onto Lavender Street, traffic does get really hectic sometimes, which was also the reason why we installed another layer of windows apart from the already double-glazed ones!
  • This is our little hat and bag corner, next to our wardrobe.
  • As mentioned in our first post, we get a kick out of DIY-ing and this tile table took us about a day to complete, and we love the look that the matte black tiles give the room. It’s our second tile table in the house and admittedly, we enjoyed the doing as much as the end product. Hit us up if you want the recipe! This shophouse artwork was a handmade collage piece from a local artist in Penang. We fell in love with how realistic it looked, with the kopitiam alley and beautiful facades. Don’t be shy, zoom in and check it out! And that’s it for our bedroom tour this week, folks!
