  • Welcome to our Masterbed room! We have quite a simple and minimal setup right now and we really enjoy how it works to help us wind down towards bedtime. We also decided to go with grey paint for the walls for a cosy feel but also as a blank slate for future mural painting.
  • This is the view from the doorway so you can get a sense of orientation! This would have been all we had to work with if we didn’t “eat” space from the second bedroom for our walk-in wardrobe. We went with a queen bed as we didn’t think we really needed a king, and also got a storage bed frame which has been really helpful as we did not do any built-in carpentry.
  • We try to keep our bedside tables tidy but this varies a ot depending on our mood! We picked bedside tables with an open nook so we can tuck things away but still have them within easy reach!
  • No built-ins also means I have the flexibility to move my dressing table around, and once again the dressing table pulls double duty as storage, keeping the mess out of sight.
  • Our walk-in wardrobe! The wall at the side here is a structural beam which we couldn’t hack so it kind of creates a ‘doorway’ to our wardrobe. Instead of carpentry, we decided to use a pole system which means we can reconfigure the layout whenever we need to or add on more pieces. We don’t really deal with much issues with dust as all our windows have mesh which helps to keep the dust out.
  • The pole system is also great as we were able to opt for the jewellery/tie drawer so we can stay organised!
