  • Hi everyone! I will start by showing you the floorplan of my house because that is the common question I received from others. My house is a 93sqm - 4 room bto in the eastern part of Singapore. Something different about my house is my kitchen. It is a semi-open concept kitchen. Other than that, it is a pretty standard 4 room bto ☺️
  • When it comes to creating my home, the first thing that comes to my mind are colours. Colours are so important to me because it can not only influence my mood but it adds character to my home and it also helps to create a comfortable environment for me since I’m always at home most of the time 😆 The theme that I want for my home is a combination of minimalist and lux. For a minimalist theme, instead of choosing colours like grey, white & black, I have chosen beige. Beige has many types of undertones just like the picture above. The best thing about beige is, given that it is a neutral colour, many other colours goes well with it! As for lux, I will go for different types of materials at home such as marble, sintered stone, quartz etc. These materials would help to elevate my home interior design.
  • Since a 4 room BTO is small, I know that I want my house to be as spacious as it can be. With that, I did not do a lot of carpentry work for my house. I also have to stay true to being a minimalist since I do not have a lot of storage spaces. I dont buy things that I dont need. Since the layout of the house does not offer a dining room and living room on its own, the first thing you will see when you enter the house is the dining and the living room. The kitchen will be on the left.
  • Wide angle of my dining area and living room area (2nd edition). Another thing that I want for my house is to be cosy. I love the vibes of a cosy home because it makes me super comfortable and it makes me relax.
  • I chose the colour beige for my kitchen cabinets. I love how the colour is soft and warm. It really blends well with my floor vinyl and also other kitchen appliances’s colours. Since I cook a lot, I decided to use glass backsplash for my kitchen. It is easy to clean after I’m done with cooking. It might not be aesthetically pleasing but it is practical.
  • One of the reasons why I chose my unit is actually my service yard! I love how my service yard is not facing my neighbour’s service yard or the corridor. As for my service yard, I have kept it simple. I did a built in cabinet to store all my kitchen/laundry necessities.
  • I have kept my hallways simple. I make sure that I install lights for my hallways for nightime.
  • I have to skip my two common rooms as it is still work in progress but I will show you my masterbedroom. As for my masterbedroom, again, I kept it simple and minimal. I have got two bedside tables on each side of the bed.
  • And of course I have to get my build in wardrobe in the colour beige 😆 Like I have already mention, it makes the room more cosy and warm.
  • I bought a simple vanity table for my master bedroom. At first, I have asked my ID to install a built in vanity but I change my mind. I prefer lose furnitures over build in ones. This is because I’m able to move around and change the layout of the room. I get pretty bored with the same layout overtime 😆
