We do not have a service yard, as we hacked it away to elongate the kitchen. Don't have an automatic laundry system like most houses do now too, opted for this extendable laundry system to hide it when not in use. Extended our cabinet, so the heater can be seen from our living room. Bonus on the view too. Since only two of us, we do not have a lot of clothes, so its always dried indoor using this system, more than enough (: We are using combi washer-dryer too! That hanging light is also the reason why we did not want a ceiling laundry system. Shortest post, because really nothing fancy in our laundry area.
