  • Hello everyone! Welcome to @limbaeshome, a ~65k | 4-room BTO at 93sqm, located in the vibrant west area. In this minimalist abode, we believe that less is always more. Every element in our home has been curated to not only ensure aesthetics meets functionality, but a space where we can build a lifestyle that can significantly enhance our daily lives; supporting tranquility. Come join us on this house tour to find out how we embrace the beauty of simplicity!
  • This was our original floor plan from HDB. Going way back to when we first applied for a BTO, we already had a theme, concept and idea of how we envision our home to be. We want it to be as open as possible with ample spaces, keeping things functional and organized.
  • And this is one of the many mock up floor plans that we did ourselves! As you can see, we have removed the wall between the master bedroom and bedroom 2, creating a bigger space for the master bedroom and to house our wardrobe. Of course, this doesn’t do justice to the actual product which we loved so much.
  • Alright let’s start with the home tour. At this entryway, you’ll be greeted by a full length mirror which we specifically requested, to check out our outfits before heading out. We created a niche underneath to put our shoes that we frequently wore on a day-to-day basis, so we don’t have to take them in and out daily. We added a LED strip light as well, giving it a soft and cosy vibe! Next to it is where we concealed our bomb shelter along with a top to bottom shoe cabinet to keep our never ending shoe collections.
  • The heart of our home! We spend most of our time chilling out here; taking our naps, chit chatting, chasing k & c-dramas while indulging on coffees, cakes and ice creams. Anyone love sweets like us?
  • Next, it’s the study room. Not much was done to this room since it’s just an area where we do our work and scrolling through social media. As you can see, we really want to incorporate both grey and white shades into our home, hence the furnishings were all thoughtfully considered to complement the aesthetics. Will share more of this room in a different vibe in another post!
  • Mirror, mirror on the wall. Our common bathroom, inspired by hotels we’ve been to. The tiles here are the exact ones used for the entire house, making it look seamless and clean. The LED mirror features 3 different lighting tones, allowing us to switch depending on our mood! Warm is our favourite, feels so calm and cosy.
  • Our hallway, featuring our concealed doors to the study room and master bedroom. We also choose two warm ceiling lights here to achieve an ambient atmosphere.
  • Consistency is key to aligning the theme and concept of our home across all areas. We added curve edges to our platform and wardrobe, creating a comfortable and softer look. We catered different type of lightings in the master bedroom as well, because it’s where we spend most time lazing around. This provides us with options to switch whenever we like at our convenience. More on these rooms in the upcoming posts.
  • The best decision we made was hacking away the HDB service yard windows and sliding doors. We always wanted to separate the kitchen and service yard, but still having the option of an open-concept. This matte white synchronised sliding door was love at first sight! Now, we can slide this door open especially if we’re cooking (so that our drying clothes won’t smell) and when we’re not using, it can be park and hidden between the carpentry and kitchen sink. I guess that’s all for now, we’ll see you in the next post. Meanwhile, do follow us on IG, @limbaeshome XX
