  • Welcome to our kitchen! This space turned out 100% like how we envisioned it in the render and we really love the colour combination of the bottom blue cabinets and white top counters. We particularly love the brass cabinet handles as it adds a touch of elegance to the space and keeps finger marks off the laminate.
  • The benefit of having an older resale unit is that the kitchen is very spacious! We reordered the layout slightly to shift the sink across from the left side to the right side so all the “wet” kitchen things happen on the right and all the “dry” kitchen things happen on the left.
  • As much as possible we tried to maximise storage so even the top of the chimney hood is used to store items!
  • Another way we optimised storage and kitchen ergonomics was to opt for drawers as much as possible to make sure everything is fully accessible.
  • Using KompacPlus for the counter top meant that we were also able to get a complimentary laser cut sink cover which allows us to make use of the countertop space above the sink when we need it. Peep the compact Wells waterpurifier as well which has been amazing in making sure we are hydrated with on-demand cold water.
  • The left side of our kitchen with our fridge, oven and microwave! We opted for a cubby hole for our microwave instead of a built in microwave as this gives us more flexibility when we have the replace it. We did the same for the fridge space, providing for a larger space than needed in case we decide to upgrade to a bigger fridge in the future. The oven is also placed at waist height, to prevent having to bend over to put things in and take things out.
  • Our dedicated coffee/tea corner is probably the most used part of our kitchen. We use a gachapon machine to house our coffee capsules and let luck decide our coffee of the day. As this is also at the ‘entrance’ of the kitchen, we also like to decorate this corner with some cute art prints to inject a little colour and personality to the space. We also have a little google home mini propped up here to use to play music or set cooking timers via voice commands when our hands are busy.
