    • Here’s a detailed tour of our master bedrooms (yes plural) 😊 We transformed our master bedroom and bedroom 2 into a walk-in wardrobe and sleeping room, respectively, that is semi-combined and accessible by a single door. So we have a private double master bedroom! Check out our floor plan below:
    • As you can see, we sealed up the original door for bedroom 2 and hacked a portion of the wall behind the master bedroom entrance to create a new doorway.
    • This is the view from inside the original master bedroom. We opted to seal the door way of bedroom 2 with a partition wall, which while thin/hollow and not safe to mount things, it’s cheaper and less of a hassle to hack and reinstate the original doorway if needed~ The mr was worried that the partition would be less sound proof than a hollow block wall (he’s a v light sleeper) but no issues so far!
    • Opposite POV: when you enter the master bedroom entry way, the master bathroom is on the right and the sleeping room is on the left. Overall, we are super happy with this configuration. Sure, when we have grown kids in future, we might have to separate the rooms again… or not 😅 Okay enough about the room configuration, let’s get into the details of the rooms…
    • Welcome to our comfy and minimalistic sleeping room. We love how it’s just a room for sleeping - no wardrobe, vanity or study table. Just pure zen vibes here. Love this set of sheets from Sojao~ and ofc the most comfy mattress from the classic king koil
    • This is our bedroom niche! Unlike the curved arch niche in the living room, we wanted something more simple and classy here. A special point of this niche is that the length between the bottom shelf and base of the niche is longer than the top two levels, creating an asymmetrical and unique look for an otherwise standard blockish set of shelves. Do plan for the length between shelves, this is something we didn’t expect and had to decide on the spot! The lengths between the niche shelves really do create different looks.
    • The other side of the bed~ Doesn’t our IKEA lamp go perfectly with the bedside table and bed headboard?
    • Featuring our aqara smart button - a life changer - which switches on night mode with one click: our bedside lamps and bedroom fan turns on, and the rest of the house appliances (lights, fans, heater) turns off. 😊👍🏼 Mega perks of a smart home! (we will be doing a separate post on our smart home on here soon)
    • Opposite the bed is a slim and classic console table from Ruma home - simple, understated and functional (altho the drawers are still empty hehe)
    • (vinyl record player coming soon 🤞🏼)
    • This is our master bedroom turned walk-in wardrobe with a generous amount of clothes space (-: The running joke we have with our friends is asking them to guess how many panels belong to the mr (answer is 2). 🙂
    • Excuse the mess - but really happy with how functional my vanity table is. It’s just enough space to display my regularly used items on top, while the drawer houses all my makeup products. Definitely plan for plugs at the side of the table (where all my charging cables are hanging from), it’s super useful. I also opted not to have any built in mirrors (full length and vanity mirrors) so that I can potentially create a mini gallery wall on top of the vanity ☺️
    • Another feature I really wanted to incorporate into our wardrobe carpentry was a niche to house my frequently used bags and serve as a bag packing area. This is what happens when i switch bags daily to match my outfit (-:
    • Another corner of the wardrobe room. We absolutely love this laundry basket on wheels which is one of our best IKEA finds. It has two separate compartments (for us, it’s a his and hers) and it’s so easy to wheel to and fro the laundry area in the kitchen. Also needed to have this clothes rack on wheels that’s super useful for hanging ironed clothes for the week~
    • Our only set of blinds in the house is this set of Venetian blinds that hides the window leading to the aircon ledge. Actually love how it looks and it definitely adds a little something to the otherwise generally homogenous wardrobe room. We never open the window so the blinds are a permanent design feature (-:
