  • Helloooo welcome to another post of ours, this time on our guest bathroom~ Our guest bathroom is simple and no frills, designed around the original BTO toilet tiles, layout and door! We wanted to keep cost low and decided to do minimal renovation for this space because we’re only a small family of 3, thus most of the time only the little one is using this toilet! We also thought that the original tiles looked pretty decent and it would be a waste to overlay it.
  • Upon entering, on the left you will see the shower area. We wanted to keep the space looking fresh and bright, so we did a 1.8m tall shower glass to separate the wet and dry areas! The shower set is the exact same one you see in our master bathroom, just to keep things a little cohesive in both toilets, and also because gunmetal finishing matches really well here.
  • On the right of the entrance you will see the toilet bowl. We also did a wall-hung toilet bowl for our guest bathroom and hence had to build a half wall to accommodate this decision. With that, we also shifted the toilet bowl position a few centimetres to the left to centralise with the half wall. (We also did the same move in our master bathroom)
  • Having half walls are great for simple displays and at the same time jazz up the vibes of the bathroom. Besides, the big aircon ledge window allows ample natural lighting in and lots of wind to keep the bathroom REALLY DRY. As with open shelves and half walls, we need to be mindful of what we display because everything is seen!
  • If you notice we have a really oddly shaped vanity cabinet. We customised this odd L-shaped vanity cabinet from Taobao and asked to remove the mirror cabinet that comes with it, because we wanted an odd-shaped mirror to enhance the novelty in this bathroom. Besides, we felt there wasn’t a need for mirror cabinet as daily items should be easily accessed by our young child. Things that are meant to be stored such as toilet rolls would be in their own storage areas :)
  • This is another view of our guest bathroom! More on the dimensions of our vanity cabinet: Length: 140cm Depth: 47cm **please be mindful when you customise your vanity set, to open your door be it bifold or slide and swing, to its maximum and measure the allowance available for your vanity/doors/drawers before the door hits it. Ours was 48cm 👀 Also, please be very wary of odd-shaped vanities because they’re easily broken during transit from China. Ours came damaged twice, but luckily the second time’s damage was repairable at a hefty price tag. 😭😭😭
  • Our black flush buttons (same as our master bathroom’s!)
  • As usual, gunmetal fittings to enhance the minimalism look. Hope you enjoyed our guest bathroom tour 👀 🩶🩶
