  • Hi everyone ! Welcome to my home! We are lucky that we got a unit with no wall in front blocking the sunlight and able to put some plants here that survived even after 1 month plus of moving in haha. Also, we also consider ourselves lucky that we don't share this space with our direct neighbor and each of us gets our own area to put a shoe rack and stuffs. On the right side of the open metal door is a riser, so I don't want to put anything there to block the riser which sometimes delivery man comes and put stuffs inside.
  • The google nest doorbell is something we use to alert our phones whenever they sense any person walking by or arriving with a parcel. It also can detect motion to prevent theft of our shoes, not that I think anybody wants our smelly shoes haha. We also place some gardening tools like the watering can here to water our plants for ease and convenience.
  • We did not change anything to the door and the metal gate because we like the original laminate of the door and the black metal gate is also quite nice. In light of the CCS program piloted in Tengah, we have these eggshell coverings going into our house and is obviously seen here at the entrance. I am not sure if we are allowed to change them to acrylic panels like the bathrooms but we made use of these to put 2 hanging plants which was a great idea!
  • I purposely found a exact length shoe rack from taobao to fit into this dent here. We reuse our wedding acrylic signage which also has leaves and floral to put it here to welcome our guests. We just too sentimental to throw it away, there are guests' blessings on the leaves as well. On our right is a long corridor walkway to our neighbor.
  • The locking lock can also connect to the Mi Home app on your phone, able to unlock through bluetooth and speak to anybody outside. But the doorbell is very inconspicuous and minimal guests notice it's existence and mostly just press on the google nest doorbell haha. My husband is someone who hates fumbling for keys after work and also he always forget his keys sometimes while living at my parents' place so he is dead set on having digital locks at our place. We bought the combo that actually has a digital lock for the metal gate as well but that has lesser function, which weirdly does not have the doorbell function on it. Thus, the google nest doorbell came in handy.
  • If anyone of you read my house tour, you should know that I changed my layout by creating a partition wall to segregate the foyer and the living room. This place is where we usually store our baby stroller, his new bike and also new parcels being delivered. The baby gate also prevent my son from crawling to this place since we have heavy parcels lying around. This space is still currently missing another shoe rack beside the main door in front of the mirror on the db box. Also missing a stool for sitting down to wear shoes, stay tuned for updates! The shoe rack is probably in one of the parcel haha.. too busy to fix up. Then the arch doorway for the guests to see our dining area instead of the living room after entering from the foyer. We also chose another grey tiles in the foyer area to demarcate the different space.
  • Instead of covering up my db box, I put mirrors on it and so we can check ourselves out before heading out.
