  • Hi there!! We're back with more tips on creating your dream bedroom. We shifted the original location of our master bedroom's door so that we could have a bigger wardrobe space. (Check out our previous post to find out more!) Our IDs helped us find this sweet spot of having sufficient wardrobe space + creating a bigger area for us. The space in front of the wardrobe means that we have enough space to get ready and move about when the both of us have to prepare simultaneously in the morning, and for future planning should we wish to have our baby cot there. One of the main considerations was also to not have the air-conditioning unit blow directly at us or above our bed so that we do not get the direct wind and for ease during aircon servicing.
  • We are very blessed to have a lot of natural light that comes into our bedroom (which could be a blessing or a pain). Light streaks in and wakes the both of us should we ever forget to draw the curtains tight. But when we do, it's really warm and cosy, and we've so thankful we have our blackout curtains to thank! Having an additional pelmet for the curtains was also great in helping to block out potential light leaks.
  • This is B's side of the bed. We got this c-shaped table that was gifted to us by the company that sold us our dining table. We have yet to find our proper bedside tables, so this will have to do for now. B's top request for the bedroom was to have electrical sockets right beside our beds on both sides for us to charge our devices.
  • And this is my side of the bedroom. As you can see, I also do not have my bedside table yet so I am using a stool temporarily (oops!). My main request for electrical sockets throughout the house was to have nicer looking sockets for those that are visible. So we did spend a little bit more to have these Legrand switches and sockets for these, and the normal ones for the hidden ones like behind the fridge.
  • Tada!! Our home will always be a WIP, but we are so happy to have a space to live and sleep comfortably in :) Share with us more tips on creating comfy bedrooms so that we can add it into ours too!
