  • Hi to our unusual kitchen colour combination and light choices. We have opted for open kitchen concept as we seldom cook, bakes a lot though (:
  • This was the below, it was closed up by the previous owner and they also build up a maid room within the kitchen
  • The inside of the previous kitchen. As this was by the first owner, so they have been here since the 1990s. We decided to change it all up and sent some mood board to our contractor to help us render the kitchen cabinetries.
  • Result of the rendering, selected the backsplash from Hafary, a little non-uniformed pattern.
  • V.S. the actual kitchen. It's amazing to see our idea come to life and that the colour we chose complimented each other.
  • Another reason why we wanted to open up the kitchen and hack off the yard is to let the wind pass through, creating a true cross ventilation. This allows plenty of wind to enter our house, as we have unblock front view and the yard side's building is quite a distance.
  • We seldom cook, but still do. Opted for induction hob and a seamless hood, that enable us to still utilise the cabinet space above it.
  • Our kitchen and service yard are together. We do not have any ceiling laundry system, and because is just the two of us, our laundry load is not a lot. Hence we got this off Taobao and have our contractor install for us. Next picture shows how usually the laundry system is like when not in use.
  • We purposely stopped our shelves here to hide our storage water heater and the retractable laundry system.
  • Our sink area, got the sink and kitchen mixer from Taobao! Always wanted a farmhouse sink, also if you noticed, our tap comes with a bidet! It's helpful when it comes to cleaning our sink. We do have a drying rack in the cabinet, but for efficiency, we got a drying plate.
  • Our little pantry area. We make coffee the old school way.
  • At last, thank you for staying till the end!
