  • Hi there!! Welcome back to another week of exploring @choishouse, and today we're bringing you to our bomb shelter. It is a pretty spacious bomb shelter and we decided to have racks installed in them. We contacted racks.sg and they were extremely fast in confirming details of how much space we had and how we could maximise the racks. And we were able to customise it to our needs. It is still relatively empty and we hope it stays like this for a longer time to come. The top shelf stores our Christmas tree. B thinks I'm crazy because we shifted in to our home in March 2024, and the Christmas tree arrived in April 2024. But I bought it last Christmas before the 9% GST heh. I'm super excited to bring it out this Christmas hehe Our alcohol stash is also stored here so that our guests can explore what they want while we prep things in the kitchen. We also purchased pull-out drawers from Shopee to organise our things. - Electrical sockets, cables, chargers - Screwdrivers and other things to fix things up in the house - Masks - Tissue papers - Plasters, thermometers, hand sanitisers - Stationery - More and more stationery They are super useful in organising things for us! And they aren't too expensive. Way cheaper than built-in for sure!
  • On to the messier side of the bomb shelter is where we have our extra stash of drinks and a gazillion paper bags/recyclable bags gifted from parents, friends, or whenever we buy stuff. We also keep our mahjong table here so that it is out of the way on most days, and just bring it out when we have guests over for a mahjong night.
  • We requested for racks.sg to not have a bottom rack or anything that hinders our way of rolling things right under so that 1. It doesn't collect dust underneath it and make it difficult to clean 2. It doesn't waste space by having a 1 inch gap below and I won't be able to fit anything there 3. I am able to just roll my luggage right in without lifting it up or down onto the extra plank/shelf. Also highly recommend Jiji. That is where we bought our organisational storage boxes, mahjong table and more. And the best part is that it is not very costly.
  • And in the other corner of the bomb shelter is where we have our Dyson and ironing board. We got a Dyson vacuum cleaner stand to hold the vacuum cleaner and all its accessories together.
  • It has been a huge joy bringing you to explore @choishouse, and this marks our last week of being a Hipvan Season 6 Ambassador. We hope you've been enjoying the little snippets and corners of our home. Thank you for sticking around close and we'll see you real soon! Byeeee
