Bringing the outdoors in: Transforming our balcony into a green space

Welcome to one of our favourite spots of the house and our happy place - the balcony! Not to sound too exaggerated, but this little green corner is o source of energy every day - From waking up to check on the health of the plants and watering them, to a corner that provides us some respite from the intensity of work at times. For the blinds, we went with black and white bamboo chicks to add some contrast and give it a textural effect. We also choose to seal up the opening next to it with a glass panel for more light to enter into the living room.
We also added a half-circle wall shelf to double as a coffee corner to chill and read. Cheers my dears to balcony views and sippin' brews.
Patterned ceramic tiles from Hafary, which took us some time to land on (tiles selection is probably the hardest with the plethora of choices and possibilities!), which had some retro vibes to it which was what we were looking for.

Entrance to our house. The shoe cabinet was sourced from Taobao, where we customised the length to store more shoes.

To tie to the shoe cabinet, we sourced a similar rattan settee bench from Taobao. We went a little funkier with the colours here - opting for mustard for the paint and did a half wall. Gotta add some colour to our life, right?
