  • Welcome to our dining space - the highlight of our home! Since our home is small, we integrated both the kitchen and dining area into one. My husband and I are introverted homebodies so we don't host guests often (just enjoying our private time haha 😝). Instead, we utilize condo amenities to host gatherings while keeping our home enough to accommodate just the two of us.
  • Since the beginning, we knew we wanted a countertop bar despite the limited space in the kitchen. Our stylist Cheryl from Roomable proposed 2 dining bar options during reno planning, with its pros and cons. We chose Option 1, following our initial goal of having a bright and airy kitchen, yet keeping the curves/round corners. This 1.8m long countertop island also serves as a separator dividing between the kitchen and living room.
  • While the recessed space of the dining bar helps to make the entire space feel lighter, it also enables us to accommodate up to 4 people for small occasions. To integrate the kitchen cabinets and the dining bar more seamlessly, we added a cubby hole with shiplap backing on top of the drawer.
  • We used Vulcan sintered stone for our countertop and ribbed fluted column, with a hint of brushed gold laminate sandwiched in between the sintered stone and white laminate base to add that modern luxe touch. For the island stools, we opted for a rattan-backing design with beige cushioned seats to elevate the overall dining experience by injecting different textures.
  • Turning on the night mode! 🌙 The ambient lighting creates a cozy atmosphere when we want to have a romantic dinner at home. Just the perfect excuse for staying in! Like or save this post for later and follow us for more home content! IG: @broccolini.home
