  • Welcome to our bathrooms! Both our bathrooms actually use a similar tile but the feature tiles are differentiated, which adds a unique element to each bathroom. For our master bathroom, the feature tile is a grey marble pattern which gives an elegant look.
  • Due to the lack of space in this small bathroom, we opted for an under mount sink to have at least some countertop space. For the mirror, we opted for a frameless oval mirror for a sleek look and to highlight the marble feature tile.
  • Our ID proposed for an additional wall to install a wall hung toilet bowl and a concealed mixer to make it look like a hotel. Together with the gold sanitary fittings, it adds to the overall lux vibes of the toilet.
  • One of the things the Missus wanted was to have a bathtub in the master bathroom and to our surprise, it could fit in our ID’s proposal. We decided against it in the end, as the thought of climbing in and out everyday just seemed rather unpractical. However, we kept our ID’s idea of a glass window with Venetian blinds, since we were already hacking the original wall to change the HDB sliding door, as it helps adds to the aesthetics and gives resemblance to a hotel bathroom.
  • Our common toilet changes up the feature tile with a white subway tile design. We absolutely love this tile design and our guests have agreed! For practicality reasons, we opted not to install a glass panel separating shower and toilet area. While this would mean that some water will splash out when showering, adding a glass planet would further constrict the space of a small bathroom, which might be inconvenient when it comes to showering kids in the future.
  • Due to the toilet windows, we could not go with a wall hung mirror. After searching high and low, we finally found this ceiling hung mirror from Taobao, which allowed us to customise the dimensions as well. For the common bathroom, there is sufficient space for a top mount sink compared to the master bathroom. One tip that we got was to build a half wall and have a half glass panel, instead of a full glass panel as it would be hard to clean in between the vanity cabinet and glass door. We opted for the same Louvre slide and fold door as it was the most aesthetic option, after deciding against a sliding door to save costs. This is one of our reno regrets as it is not fully covered and all sounds and smells would echo from the bathroom making it a little unpleasant. This is something to consider when choosing a door for your common toilet!
