  • Hello!! We are B & K from @ChoisHouse! Let's go on a house tour!! Welcome to our cozy 22-year-old 4 room resale flat (90sqm) in Central Singapore. We were very fortunate to have a north-south facing unit, and the sunset hues that cast onto our walls in the evenings is absolutely stunning! The main theme of our house was never explicitly defined but we were drawn to something clean/white with darker walnut wood elements, but still practical, functional and low maintenance. We also wanted the flexibility of allowing as much natural light in as possible or blocking the space for more privacy when needed. This theme flows through our entire home in all of the rooms. Fun fact: We fell in love with our tiles at first sight and chose them within 5 minutes of entering Hafary! These floor tiles deck our entire house, with the exception of our 2 bathrooms.
  • Here is the original floor plan.
  • And here is the floor plan that our ID created for us based on our requirements. We will be sharing more on each space in the coming weeks so stay tuned!
  • We kept things really simple along our entryway with just our shoe cabinet and an amalgamation of our little knick knacks!
  • The layout of our home is such that the dining and living room space are in one big area together, and the kitchen is tucked away in the corner. Our bomb shelter is hidden in the kitchen instead of being exposed, and we did not have to spend money on concealing it with carpentry. We spend the most time in the dining room when hosting. This area has served as a space that our family or friends all come together to have meals and catch up with each other. The living room space has been great in having our family and friends for games night. Our TV console houses our wifi router and our gaming consoles. Instead of having built-in carpentry, we chose to have more loose furniture so that we could change things up if we wanted to in future and also keep our costs low lower our costs. The only places with built-in carpentry in the entire home is in our kitchen and master bedroom.
  • This is where our friends spend the most time when they come to visit - to join us with Nintendo Switch or SteamDeck games. Our TV console has the storage space for all our board games, game consoles and wifi routers.
  • Our kitchen and service yard are combined and is not divided by any walls or windows, opening up the space, light and ventilation. This is also the space that has the most carpentry in the entire home, created based on our needs.
  • Our master bedroom carries the same colour scheme and theme from the rest of the house, and shares the exact same laminate as the kitchen. We decided to change the original location of the master bedroom door to create a larger space for ourselves to have more carpentry space.
  • This is our master bathroom and we kept it relatively simple with similar tones of grey. We hope you enjoyed this peek into our humble abode. Follow us at @choishouse on Instagram for more snippets of our daily life :)
