  • Hello, we are KH & MS, and we appreciate your time here with us! Today, we're excited to give you a peek into how we’ve made our communal living space — that includes our dining area, a cozy corner, and our Entertainment room—into a cozy haven.
  • For starters, we do not regret maximising our communal space and installing our full-height glass sliding doors They are a standout feature in our home as we are able to close off the space for movie or karaoke nights. Together with our track lights and floor lamp, they set the perfect mood, making our late-night chats and movie nights extra special. :) And also installing the doors helped us to future-proof as we are still able to convert it back into a room should a need arise in the future!
  • Our overall home color palette revolves around cream and brown because it is warm and inviting. KH loves blue, I adore colors like orange and pink, and we both have a soft spot for nature-inspired greens and greys. These colors blend beautifully, and we’ve carefully picked furniture to match this palette.
  • We also made the conscious decision to not place the sofa in the original living room because we wanted to create a more private space in our home to wind down with a book or to chill and listen to music.
  • The Marshall speaker also adds on to the slight retro vibe of our home :)
  • Definitely one of our favourite shots in our home :)
  • This space is also filled with personal touches that tell our story. There are the paintings we have done as a couple together, our collation of wedding trinkets which we kept in 1 frame and also the newspaper article that featured our solemenisation ceremony in the restaurant where we first met. :) These trinkets are great conversation starters when friends come over.
  • We also have an alcohol nook, our first foray into building an alcohol hobby. The shelves are DIY-ed from IKEA, and the puzzle guestbook is filled with our guests’ well wishes from our wedding.
  • Fun-fact: we first met in a dimsum restaurant hence the ring holder in a dim sum basket! It was a fun project where we painted the baskets gold together.
  • Also! We’re huge coffee lovers and are planning to set up a home café to share our journey and learnings of coffee :) It’s going to be a space where we can work, brew coffee (both specialty and local), and enjoy great conversations. We believe that good conversations begin over good food and coffee, and this café is a perfect addition to our home. We hope you enjoyed our little tour thus far! It's a space filled with love, designed to be warm and inviting for everyone who steps through our door. Feel free to ask any questions or share your thoughts with us. We’d love to hear from you!
