  • Hello there! Today we’ll be sharing more about the entryway of our 5 room BTO. ☺️
  • Here’s the pre-carpentry look vs final look (from the back)! As mentioned in our previous posts, we extended the original wall which housed the DB box to wrap around our full-height cabinet. This created a streamlined, clutter-free look.
  • The cabinet was split between general and shoe storage, adding to the functionality of the space. A niche was also incorporated for us to house our Aqara doorbell chime and include display pieces that add personality, making the space feel more intimate and meaningful to us. The organisation helps us stay on top of clutter, which is especially important given the small footprint of the space.
  • We opted to use microcement as our main laminate for the entryway, with some hints of wood from our niche and door. This allowed the space to feel clean, yet warm enough to feel welcoming.
  • Here’s my husband posing with the bedroom slipper cos I requested for a human in my shot 🤣 My favourite things about our entryway are the niche as well as the shelves that our ID kindly helped install in our DB box which really helped to increase storage for our daily essentials.
  • (Pic from one of our previous renders) If we had to do it again, we might have considered adding a small bench for seating when putting on shoes. We also could have made the niche at a slightly longer height as our current one is a tad short at 25cm. Overall, our entryway is small but mighty - one that fits both our house theme and our needs. Thanks for reading till the end! :)
