Unlike our living area that is pretty bright (all walls are painted in white), our bedroom is in a much darker theme. We thought this would help to create a cozy atmosphere for us to have a good rest! We added a faux eucalyptus plant to bring a touch of greenery into the room, without the need for maintenance. Yay to all things that don't require much upkeep. Curtains are a must for us, since we stay at a pretty low floor. We went with an almost full (95%) blackout curtains to complement our dark theme vibes. These curtains let just enough light into the room to nudge us to wake up on lazy weekends without causing any irritation. With the advice of end.curtain, we installed our bedroom curtain on the beam instead of the ceiling, so that we can use a black track that is much less visible. We also opted for thermal shaping for our curtains and we really love the s-fold effect (without having to compromise space). Highly recommend if you guys are also looking for a structured look! Definitely not a need, but we also added a rug in our bedroom to provide a soft surface for our feet. We also changed all our sockets and switches into black coloured ones to fit the dark theme. We have two sets of these switch and sockets, at each side of the bed to control the bedroom light and charge our small knick knacks! The other side of our bedroom houses our "balcony-like" area and wardrobe. We always wanted a spacious bedroom so we knocked down one of the walls to make this happen. We used black sockets here again to blend in with the walls. For this area, we went with black and white bamboo blinds to match with our patterned tiles. Where we can, we went with gold for our accessories. We switched up the original black knobs with gold ones here. And this is our wardrobe, with a dark black wood-like laminate (recommended by our ID)... ...and gold handles, just like the rest!
