  • Hi there! In this post, we're showcasing the before and after of our entryway. We concealed the bombshelter with a shoerack, using black laminates to match our dark contemporary theme, along with a touch of soft curves. The space offers plenty of shoe storage, though we stack them vertically. We also added a niche with a power outlet on the left, perfect for placing keys, candles, and charging our phones, which has been super convenient for us.
  • Here’s the "before" look, which appears quite plain and minimal. It’s common for homeowners to conceal the bombshelter to create a more cohesive and visually appealing entryway. Without this, the area can feel unfinished or less stylish, so adding something like a shoerack or custom paneling can make a big difference in elevating the overall aesthetics. For us, hiding the bombshelter was key to achieving the seamless and polished look we envisioned for our dark contemporary theme.
  • Here’s another angle of the entryway and kitchen. Given that our entryway is relatively short, we decided to maintain a clean and minimalist look. By keeping things simple, we ensure the area feels open and uncluttered, creating a smoother transition into the rest of the house. This also complements the overall dark contemporary theme, allowing key design elements to stand out without overwhelming the space.
  • We place our shoes in shoebags bought from Shopee to prevent dirt from accumulating inside the shoerack, saving us the hassle of frequent cleaning. The shoebags are not only washable and reusable, but they also help keep everything organized, making it easy to grab our shoes without any mess. This small addition has been a game-changer for keeping our entryway neat and reducing maintenance, while still fitting perfectly with the overall functionality of the space. Plus, their durability ensures we can use them long-term, adding both practicality and convenience.
  • Lastly, here’s the view from the main door, highlighting how spacious, neat, and tidy our entryway looks. The clean lines and dark tones create a striking first impression that sets the tone for the rest of our home. We invite you to connect with us on IG @2chocolatecaramel! We hope you appreciate our dark contemporary theme, which is not only unique but also adds a touch of sophistication to our space. It’s always exciting to share our journey and inspire others with our design choices. Your feedback and support truly mean a lot to us!
