  • Hi friends! We are Ven & Nigel aka Vengelhaus 💗 Welcome to our cosy home where we spend a lot of time just relaxing and playing with our new fur baby James. We knew we wanted a feature wall to separate the living and dining area and what better than a arch niche with real wood shelves? Quoting Ven’s friend: This one look like some pinterest background sia!
  • We spend a lot of time watching Netflix together so we knew our living room has to be extra comfortable. Sneaking more curves into the house by curving the beam in the living room and we love our Samsung Frame TV 😍 Also added a settee by the window for more storage space and also at a as more sitting area for guests when we host friends and family. Nigel also enjoys sitting here to watch the sunset.
  • Our kitchen is the first place where Ven has the clearest idea on what she is looking for - With farmhouse design in mind, she has requested for shaker cabinets, wooden countertop (by EDL Compact) and a farmhouse sink to complete the look. Quite abit of time was spent on configuring the kitchen based on our needs and living habits and we can’t wait to share more details in another post!
  • Our common bathroom is a guest fave and the pop of pink cheers up anyone who enters it 🤗 The terrazzo sink is the center piece of the space and goes really well with the pink wall tiles and light grey vanity cabinet. Odd shaped mirror adds another touch of playfulness to the bathroom.
  • This is BR 2 aka Ven’s room (it’s legit called that in our renovation quotation 😂) where all of Ven’s clothes, bags and skincare products are housed in this gorgeous wardrobe. This room is also where the dressing table is. P.S. Don’t worry, Nigel has the whole MBR wardrobe to himself 🤭
  • For MBR, we kept it simple and painted an arch shape to mimic a headboard. This is because our bed frame was brought over from our in-laws’ place where we stayed together for 6 years and the bed frame does not have a headboard. We have gotten used to it and enjoy not having to clean it, so added the arch shape in grey to continue the theme of the home.
  • Our home is a BTO 4-room unit and aside from having higher ceilings and no box-up in the bathrooms, it’s pretty standard. We chose not to hack any walls as we are pretty happy with the space in each area of the unit and this helps us save some cost too. Looking forward to share more about our home here and you can also catch us on IG & Tiktok 🙌🏻
