  • Hey there! We’re Loafy Haus, a couple on a journey to design our dream home in delightful cream and brown hues together with our doggo. Let’s spill the tea: our initial plan was to create an open concept home with minimal carpentry, perfect for future flexibility. But after a few disapproving grunts from the parents, we had to rethink our plans. After chatting with our interior designer, we landed on the perfect solution: glass blocks! These beauties not only help us stay on track with our feng shui goals, but they also let in tons of light.
  • One of the golden rules of feng shui is to have a partition that prevents energy (and money!) from rushing out the main door only to escape through a window right across. But wait—don’t worry if feng shui isn’t your thing! That partition isn’t just about energy; it also cleverly divides the entrance from the living room, allowing privacy while you kick back on the sofa if you like to keep your front door open.
  • Here’s our second rendering! Can you spot the differences? We’ve changed the design of the glass blocks and ditched the lime wash effect to see how the space would look. Pssst, we also fell hard in love with these charming mosaic tiles from Hup Kiong.
  • Taking our interior designer's suggestion, we decided to include a skylight in the foyer, especially since we’re also adding a false ceiling. It’s amazing how this simple addition transformed the foyer into a warm and inviting area.
  • Here's our current in progress photo of our partition. Follow us to keep updated on our renovation journey!
