  • The living room floor was kept from the previous owner, as we had no money to remove it. It was marble, and was quite nice, so we also had no qualms keeping it. However, it does need a nice polish, as now it has streaks of tape left over from the floor protection.
  • For the rest of the house, we opt for tiles. As we have a pet dog, tiles will be more durable and we like that there is a non slip option which makes it for pet friendly for senior dogs
  • For the toilet, we chose a dark theme for the walls, as we need a more emo theme to brood over life while pooping. We made sure that the floor were non-slip as well, which was even more important than other areas of the house. The floors were bright, to add contrast to the room.
  • same same but different from the bathroom on top. We also chose a dark laminate for the vanity to match the theme. the sink was a nice granite-ish feels, and, in contrast to the dark countertop, a brighter colour to make it pop out more.
  • For the stairs, the tiles were chosen to match the kitchen. as you could see from the 2nd floor, the shade of the tiles grew darker compared to the stairs.
  • In fact, we chose the same series of tiles, so that the colour and pattern would be consistent. so for the kitchen and stairs, we choose the brightest of the series to match the existing marble floor. The 2nd floor landing is the mid darkness, and all our rooms had a darker floor theme.
  • Note the floor of the kitchen, in stark contrast with the rest of the walls and laminates.
