  • One thing I love during our home building journey is furnishing our home ♥️ here’s how we elevated our home with these beautiful furnishing and items! We love a pretty accent chair. We love it that it’s statement piece by itself and yet complements so well with the rest of the living space. Also, play with portable lamps and add a pop of color without being too “in-your-face”.
  • We also love to dress up our empty walls. In our master bedroom, we fell in love with this canvas print (as we love elements of nature) and shipped it all the way from Canada. We then stretched the canvas locally.
  • In our master bathroom, there was a huge window (to access the Aircon ledge). I found the window really out of place with our bathroom decor and decided to dress it up with a Venetian blind. Love how we keep the bathroom ventilated and beautiful. Choose a color that blends well with your wall to give a seamless look.
  • The HDB door was an odd two-shade colored door. So we decided to do a door wrap that matches well with our entryway carpentry to enhance the overall cohesiveness.
  • In our bedroom, we opted for black out curtains instead of Venetian blinds to give a softer and cosy look. Opt for S fold curtains. We love how it drapes so beautifully and neatly.
  • Look at how the portable lamp can be moved across spaces.
  • Look at how the living room looked before adding the window blinds and carpet.
  • And now this! We love a good big carpet and chose a size that’s proportionate to our 3m sofa. Having a carpet really helps to ground the space and acts as a connecting thread, pulling together the different pieces of furniture. Venetian blinds is a really great choice where we can adjust the amount of light coming through the windows! Especially with our TV placed against the windows.
  • We have a habit of pouring our soap and shampoo into standardized bottles or use bottles of similar colors. Look how neat this looks (bottom niche) compared to upper niche where there are different colored bottles.
  • Another way to elevate our home aesthetics is with the use of reeded glass, instead of clear glass. Also, we don’t have to worry about watermarks or fingerprints as much with reeded glass 😉
