  • We will go into some key home decor ideas in this post! We found this last bit of the renovation the most fun and we can always change things up if we change our mind :)
  • Home decor can really make quite a huge difference. This is how our living room look when it was first done up. Even with the furniture and some cushions, we found it too "cold" for our liking, and wanted to inject more fun into it!
  • These are the key home decor items that we've added: (1) Pictures - we went with arch shapes to match with the rest of the home and selected a brown themed one to match with our sofa. (2) Knit Throw - we went with something more colourful to brighten up the space! (3) Pouf - this isn't particularly in theme, but we thought it would be fun to add a pop of contrast! (4) Carpet - we went with a light cream colour one for a more cosy look, and we also thought having a blank canvas gives us room to add on more colourful items in future! (5) Faux plant - we also added something green for a more relaxing vibe. These items really helped to transform our living room, and we feel much happier with this! In fact, we have been buying more cushions and knick knacks and adding them to our living room :)
  • And once in a while, we bring out our Mr. Pineapple jellycat!
  • A shelf on its own doesn't do much, but it's a space with potential. Scroll down to see how we've decorated it!
  • For our kitchen shelf, we have a variety of functional and non-functional items. Since it's the kitchen after all, we put some of our commonly used items on the shelf, like a milk pitcher, jar of cereals, cups, and also a diffuser for a nice scent.
  • We regularly change up our items on the shelf based on our mood. We are quite into yellow colour these days, so we started displaying a yellow cup and yellow bottle!
  • Here's another kitchen shelfie, for a smaller shelf! Once again, we mixed functional and non-functional items. The car and garlic are actually salt and pepper shakers and the flamingo is actually a cup!
  • This is how our pantry area looks like without any home decor.
  • Much better with deco! They are mostly actual items that we use on a regular basis. We just added a photo frame with different types of coffee (but tbh we just stick to the same coffee options!)
  • Recently, we also added some ceramics onto the shelf. We got them from our overseas travel - they are all handmade and we love how raw they look!
  • This is our balcony-like area without any furnishing or decor.
  • We added black and white roller blinds, faux plant and a rattan high chair. These items helped us to achieve what we had in mind and we really like it when the sun hits! Really helps to create a different ambience in our home :)
