Home Style: My Journey To Creating A Softer Aesthetic

When I first began thinking about the style for my home, I initially gravitated toward wabi-sabi for its natural and imperfect aesthetic. I loved its organic, raw appeal, but as I spent more time researching on platforms like XHS and Pinterest, I realized I prefer a less rustic look, which was why I decided to go for a 奶油风- which loosely translates to cream aesthetic. Here's our moodboard: 
This led me to shift toward a cream minimalist style, which incorporates a softer, and warmer feel. The cream tones provided the warmth and calm I was looking for. 
While we didn’t hire an interior designer who specialized in this particular style, we tried our best to choose elements that would fit well eg. light furniture, soft textures, and warm lighting.
