    • It is December! The time of the year for cozy home parties and joyful gatherings with family and friends! In light of this, in today’s post, we will be sharing some hosting tips!
    • Our home is a 4-room BTO flat, so as you can tell, space is limited. The area for gathering is mainly in our cozy dining and living room area. When selecting our dining table earlier, we specifically picked a 160cm long dining table so that it can comfortably sit the two of us on normal days, as well as to accommodate more on the rare occasions we have gatherings in our home. Sintered Stone table was specifically chosen as it is scratch resistant, heat resistant, water resistant and food stain resistant. There is no need for us to worry if any guest spill food accidentally on the table. We also got a bench on one side of the dining table, so that for gatherings, 3 pax can be accommodated along one side of the table (instead of the typical 2 pax if chairs were used).
    • When we have group gatherings, we make use of these Nordic minimalist stools to add on seating area along the side. We love these stools as they are so minimalistic elegant whilst at the same time they are stackable! We also have another makeshift table which we use for even large group gatherings!
    • Our living room area comprises of a 2-seater recliner sofa (and a massage chair). Hence, we add on these stools alongside the window area to accommodate more seating. The colourful stools you see there is collapsible, and they can be brought out for picnics too!
    • To create a welcoming atmosphere, we typically freshen up the space with scented reed diffusers or using this candle warmer!
    • We have this hidden storage area behind our entrance foyer area, right beside our dining table!
    • We have stored our board games here, so that they are within reach and for guests to select the games to play!
    • To make hosting easier, we have been catering mini buffets!
    • We have also hosted gatherings with homecooked food for smaller gathering, and here is some photos of what we prepared!
    • We also typically make this yuzu jelly as a dessert! Simply add some aiyu jelly and tadpole jelly (which can be found in supermarket) with iced yuzu water. Simple and delicious recipe! Follow us our @ourbtohome for more home renovation tips and recommendations!
