    • Our master bedroom follows the same creamy, neutral palette as the rest of the home, with soft browns, light corals, and pastel tones for a calming and cohesive feel to the space. We wanted this room to be our quiet sanctuary for resting and recharging. Though we considered expanding it, we chose not to hack any walls. Instead, we preserved the flexibility of the other rooms for work, hobbies, and guests while designing the master bedroom to feel spacious and neat.
    • To achieve that, we used smart storage and visual tricks. Full-length double track curtains help elongate the room and give the illusion of higher ceilings. We also invested in warm lighting for a cozy vibe but yet still brightening and expanding the space. There are four points of light including one at the entrance, wardrobe, vanity, and a Fanco fan-light combo. We even added LED backlighting behind the bed headboard for a soft glow at night.
    • We integrated storage into the furniture wherever possible: the bed comes with four drawers, and even the headboard has hidden compartments for spare pillows.
    • The wardrobe is designed without drawers inside, so this saves internal space and gives us the freedom to use stackable organisers. We also used a dual-layered hanging pole in the L-shaped corner to maximise hanging space. The small connected vanity doubles as a bedside table and includes two niches and a drawer for my hairdryer, makeup brushes etc. The mirror also acts as a storage cabinet to keep my skincare and cosmetics hidden while still being easily accessible. We asked our contractor to incorporate open shelves at the side of the wardrobe carpentry. It was a small sacrifice in terms of storage space, but ultimately a design decision we’re really happy with. This little nook became the designated place for decors without cluttering the room. I love switching up the decor from time to time, so having the decor shelves keep the rest of the surfaces neat. We get to enjoy a cosy and styled bedroom without being overloaded with too many trinkets lying around. We will be sprucing up the shelves in time to come!
    • We hope this post gave you some ideas on how to maximise your master bedroom space!
