  • Welcome to our humble abode! We’re thrilled to give you a peek inside our 5-room resale flat in Woodlands. We’re @thezAAn.home, a family of four with two little ones under four years old. Our style is a bit rojak la, as our home reflects a harmonious blend of modern, Scandinavian, and Japandi styles.
  • For this home renovation, we focused on transforming our entrance that we love so much, living room, study room, kitchen, and two toilets, while keeping our bedrooms minimal to save costs.
  • We love to do styling, so do look forward for some tips in the future! We can’t wait to share more
  • We love our main entrance—it’s the perfect backdrop for family photos, though it’s usually just the kids posing, la! We’ve got ample storage space for shoes and, of course, the kids' toys. Don’t be surprised if half the storage is filled with their stuff!
  • We found our door knob from Taobao and we love it so much
  • Just our girl posing behind the backdrop of our balcony entrance
  • Our dining room is simple and cozy, and we love spending time there eating together as a family. We can already imagine hosting gatherings with friends and family in this space.
  • To save on renovation costs, we decided to opt out of any built-ins in our living room and dining area. For furniture, we mostly sourced items from Malaysia and Taobao, and we definitely saved quite a bit! While our home is far from complete, we’re really happy with how it has turned out so far.
  • Some of the areas that we style up the study room with loose furniture from Taobao
  • Our study room/kids room/gathering room was originally a spare room from the previous owner. We knocked it down to create a study area for me (the wife), as I’ve decided to continue my nursing studies.
  • It’s the perfect space for e-learning, and when the kids are home, it easily doubles as their playpen.
  • We got the study table customised by our ID
  • Entrance of our dream kitchen
  • our kitchen is the heart of our home. I love cooking, and I can already picture myself spending most of my time here, whipping up new dishes for the whole family. It’s a semi-open kitchen concept, which allows us to neatly divide the dry and wet areas.
  • With rich wood tones, sleek dark brown kitchen cabinets, and natural elements like rattan, the space feels warm and inviting. A few feature light fittings and ribbed glass details add a modern, elegant touch. The earthy tones of our furniture and the clean lines throughout create a balance between coziness and simplicity, making this house not just beautiful, but also functional—a perfect haven for our daily lives
  • We kept our bathroom simple and neat
  • We hope you enjoyed looking through our home tour. It’s still a work in progress, and we can’t wait to see how it evolves over time! See you next week!
