  • As much as we love our home, sometimes we do get a little bored of seeing the same things in the same light and feeling the same mood. One of the ways we switch things up is to play with the lightings at home just to give a fresh look and feel each time.πŸ’‘ Let’s dive into the different lights around our home! The first light that we love is actually a housewarming gift from our ID when our home was completed! 🀩 It was initially placed in the living room but we shifted it to our chill room because we thought it had a bit more of a unique vibe. We’ve it placed beside our vinyl corner and when we put on some records and switch it on, just vibes~ and that’s how we chill during the weekends ✨🎡 πŸ’‘Tip: Don’t be afraid to get unique looking lights to spruce up your space, they can add character and accentuate the mood even more!
  • The next light that we want to share would be our Akari lamp that hangs over our dining area. When we have family gatherings or just want to have a nice dinner for two, we turn on this light to give our home a warm glow and it makes everything feel much cosier 😌 When it was first set up without any other furnishing in our home, we thought that it looked a little like a full moon! 🌝 πŸ’‘Tip: Consider having one or two warm lights in your home that are bright enough to illuminate an entire space so that you can easily make your home feel cosier.
  • Mentioned in the previous image, our bed head light is another integral light that we use very often. Using an LED strip that is hidden within helps to create a diffused effect while illuminating the room with a nice glow ☺️ This is also installed in our kitchen which helps to illuminate the entire counter when we are prepping some drinks for our weekend chill~ 🍸 πŸ’‘Tip: LEDs are a cost effective way to brighten up areas which might not be able to install larger lights or when you need to illuminate a large area without too many lighting points.
  • To complete a trio, we also got another lamp from the series which we have placed in our master bedroom. We turn it on with our bed head light when we begin winding down from our busy day and the soft diffused light helps to create a calming space πŸ›οΈ. Coupled with some sounds of the ocean, once we shut our eyes we are out like a light πŸ˜‚ Geddit?
  • Besides functional lights, we also love our decorative lamps! In daytime we use these lamps as part of our decor and at night we use them to illuminate the other decor items around them. The little areas which are lit up create a cosier atmosphere and make everything else come to life. πŸ’‘Tip: Getting small portable lamps or decorative items that light up are a fun way to incorporate some lights in your space without the commitment of drilling a new light point!
  • Like this croissant lamp which we have been in love with since we first saw it in Japan! πŸ₯ Combining our love for bread, lights and fun stuff, it was a must buy!
  • We hope that this post has helped to light up some bulbs in your head about how you can use lights to enhance the mood at home! Do share with us what kind of lights you love and what you think will fit into our space! Hope this helps you in your home journey! Do give us a follow on IG @2monkeyshouse for more content! 🏠
