  • Hello everyone 👋🏻 We were honored to be ambassadors for Season 4 and are thrilled to return for Season 6. In this week's post, we will be sharing our House Hunting Journey. Since we weren't in a hurry to get a house, we chose to apply for a BTO instead. With five locations to choose from—Eunos, Anchorvale, Fernvale, Tampines, and Northshore—we ultimately selected Fernvale because our parents and siblings lived in Sengkang at the time. Ironically, once we received our keys, they all moved to Pasir Ris!
  • Initially, we were supposed to receive our keys in 2020, but due to Covid, there was a slight delay of a few months. We chose Fernvale for several compelling reasons: - My husband's sister lived just two bus stops away. - My husband's brother resided a few streets away. - My brother was living nearby in Anchorvale - The variety of food options in Jalan Kayu was right opposite. - Walking distance to Sheng Siong and NTUC. With these conveniences and connections, Fernvale felt like the perfect choice for our new home.
  • Here is the layout of our unit, situated all the way at the end. We had several criteria in mind when choosing our unit: - Distance from the rubbish chute: We wanted to avoid potential pests or unpleasant smells. - Proximity to the lift: To ensure our privacy, we preferred not to be too close to the lift, especially when we relax in the living room with the door open. - Service yard location: We didn't want our service yard to be too close to another unit for added privacy.
  • If I had to pick a favorite view of my home, it would definitely be this one. Initially, figuring out what to do with the structural pillar was stressful, as it was an eyesore. Now, it's my favorite view. This bright and airy living room is my perfect oasis for hosting guests. Soft tones, enhanced by wood accents and pops of color, infuse warmth and coziness throughout the space. The addition of plants brings vibrant life to the area, completing the inviting atmosphere.
