  • Hi Folks πŸ‘‹πŸ» Welcome back to our home, today we're showing you our foyer, and what were the different phases it has gone through the last 1 year in our home. As we wanted to keep costs low, we did not change our gates to a more private one and neither did we opt for carpentry to help segment this area. Instead, we used a bamboo divider to act as a partition and also keep peeking eyes out fro our living area πŸ˜‰
  • This was how our initial render was suppose to look like, and the carpentry has stayed the same! We found it helpful to have a countertop to plonk all our belongings the moment we come back home and extending our kitchen countertop to the foyer has been a great investment. We also keep our bags and shoes in this extension cabinet so we can easily grab our belongings and head out the door.
  • After some time, the bamboo dividers weren't the best use of space, they also kept tumbling down due to strong winds 😳 and we sometimes find toppled down on the floor. So... it was time for an upgrade! We decided to buy door curtains to help keep the privacy but still allow airflow into our home. So far this has been sufficient and we love the oat colour cloth with the little tassels add a bit more fun to our doorway.
  • On days when we're expecting guests or feel like giving our neighbours a show 🀫 it can get hard to fumble around with the curtains. So we decided to crochet some curtain ties and it works wonderfully to pull the curtains back when needed!
  • Pulling back the curtains also shows off our festive decor, throwing back to Christmas 2023, with our first ever Christmas tree on display in front of our entryway. We hope this has been helpful, and till next time! ~ Nay & ZQ
