  • Another favourite part of our house is our Kitchen! 👨‍🍳 We chose a very light pastel greenish bluish colour for our bottom laminates as we love a calm yet vibrant vibe. We also chose backsplash tiles with more character (it’s curved inwards) instead of the usual flat white subway tiles. We love and wanted shaker frames for cabinets initially but it was so much more expensive and we felt that the aesthetic impact the shaker frames will bring is just not enough for the cost to be justifiable. Kitchen tiles are by HDB btw! We were very keen to make use of whatever is provided to be more cost and waste efficient 🌍
  • Eugene loves to experiment cooking different food, hence he insisted on an oven. The major regret was our kitchen hood — we got a hood with 2 fans and the suction is very weak and everytime we cook vegetables the kitchen smokes up 😫 Must get at least 3 fans!!!
  • We got the pull out extendable tap for sink and it’s so much easier for washing of the sink ⭐️ The only downside is that we can’t add or attach a water filter to the tap itself!
  • Instead of installing a water filter which is pretty common nowadays, we decided to stick with an aesthetic kettle for boiling of water! We didn’t see a need for a water dispenser because we have only 2 people in the household so the water consumption is not crazy and c’mon it’s fine to drink boiled tap water 💁🏻‍♀️ We need to train our immune system, don’t have to always have perfectly cleaned water 💦 And of course, it saves us money too!
