Kitchen - Seasoned with love and laughter

Our kitchen space is somewhat limited, so we hacked a wall to create an open kitchen concept. This particular area serves as our meal preparation and cooking area, often referred to as the “wet area”. Also, this section of the kitchen is quite narrow, making it challenging to take photos. Luckily, our ID engaged a photographer for a photoshoot of the house so we can use this photo to start our post 😛
Loving our herringbone backsplash. Utilising tiles as a backsplash offers the advantage of easy maintenance and effortless cleaning. Just wiped off with a damp cloth and it will look as good as new. Also, we love our Ninja Foodi! It is incredibly efficient, cooking rice in just 3 minutes, along with other functions such as air crisp (air fry), grill, steam, slow cook, saute, bake etc.
Our hob and hood were a complimentary addition from our ID. Opted for a traditional gas stove instead as we are not used to induction stove. Traditional gas stove also allows us to have more precise control over flame since we can actually “see” the fire.
Most of our storage consists of closed cabinets to prevent the shelves from accumulating dust and oil, but we have set aside a small area for some open shelvings. Primarily used for storing garlic, onions and kitchen towels.
Maintaining a clutter-free countertop and just having essentials like oil, salt and sugar.
