  • Hi everyone! So, this is the spot where we kick off our shoes and drop the day’s baggage - literally. Our entryway is all about simplicity, with no built-in carpentry - just the basics to keep things functional and fuss-free!
  • Welcome to Potterhome and the view from outside our home! We’ve kept things practical with a shoe cabinet for quick access to our everyday shoes and a foldable bike securely locked outside to save space indoors. For our entryway, we upgraded to a waterproof light grey floor decking - it's durable and clicks together easily, a perfect choice after we realized grass patches were dust magnets! Our main gate also got a stylish upgrade. We chose a design that complements the overall theme of our home. The sleek, criss-cross pattern adds a touch of modernity.
  • To tie it all together, we wrapped our front door in a matching finish, creating a cohesive look that we love. One more thing we absolutely love about our entryway is our custom name plate, which we bought from one of the shops at the Queen Victoria Night Market in Melbourne for AUD$40.
  • We further upgraded our door with a digital lock from Zansan (Brand: Zeus) and it is one of our favourite additions. This lock doesn’t just look good - it adds an extra layer of security to our home with multiple ways to unlock, including a PIN code, fingerprint or even RFID card. Honestly, it’s one of those upgrades that, once you have it, you wonder how you ever lived without it!
  • We’ve kept things simple with a shoe cabinet that tucks away our everyday shoes, making them easy to grab as we head out the door. The cabinet’s design fits seamlessly with our minimalistic approach, offering just the right amount of storage without overwhelming the space. Above, we’ve filled the shelf with a few of our favourite things - a framed photo that always brings a smile to our faces and some greenery that adds a touch of nature to the room. Our letter board keeps things fun and fresh, displaying a sweet message that reminds us every day that there’s no place like home. We’ve also included a few succulents and a crystal, adding a bit of charm and good vibes to the space.
  • Our entryway features a harmonious blend of grey and white tones. The hexagon floor tiles add visual interest and help define the living room area, providing a smooth transition between spaces. Thanks for reading and taking a peek into our entryway! Whether you’re looking for ideas or just enjoying the tour, we’re glad you stopped by!
