  • We love having a spacious, open feel, so we decided to knock down the walls of the common bedroom across from our kitchen. We considered using bifold doors at first, but didn’t like how they took up space when folded, so we opted for sleek sliding doors instead. Psst… this isn’t the final look of our office doors! We can’t wait to reveal the real deal once the actual door is up.
  • We did considered leaving the space door-free, but we scrapped the idea. Having a door will help keep the air-conditioning cool, and it’ll be much better when we have important meetings to avoid disruptions from Mr. Doggo! With Mr. Doggo around, we skipped the full glass doors—didn’t want any accidents during his intense fetch sessions!
  • Since we both spend a lot of time working from home, we knew that we wanted to create a cozy office that would motivate us to want to be there every day. one of us tends to get easily distracted (guess who?), so this layout works better for productivity. It also gives us both the privacy we need while working.
  • Also +1000 fengshui points with this layout as the ideal position for a desk is with a solid wall behind your back! Follow us on Instagram @loafy.haus and HipVan to keep updated on our renovation journey!
