Welcome to our dining room! This is where the party begins, based on our gatherings so far, and actually guests never leave cos the food and drinks are here 😁 The dry pantry area serves as an extension of our dining table when we host and need to lay out more food. Using a hardy, stain-proof material like sintered stone for the counter top definitely makes hosting more fuss free. 
At the heart of the dining room is this 1.8m sintered stone dining table. The taobao seller crated it best as they could and we could only pray that everything arrived intact. Thankfully it did and the colours turned out better than expected! We weren't sure if our fixing skills would be good enough so we got a handyman to fix it up for us. So now we're fairly certain that our dinner won't fall onto the floor. Haha. 
Hard to imagine that just a few months back, this area was empty and bare! Shifting away all the dining chairs for a closer look at the dining table. The table legs are tapered for a suspended, floating look. They're made of grey stainless steel, and create a resounding "Gongggg" when someone kicks it. Great way to announce that dinner is ready? Close up of the dining chairs that came with the dining table. Very relieved that they survived the long journey and came in good condition. But the downside of buying taobao furniture is that you cannot try it for comfort beforehand. These chairs aren't super comfortable to me as they are somewhat shallow, forcing me to sit quite upright. Oh well. So please decide if you want to save money or have certainty of what you're buying! I'd actually bought another dining area light already but when I saw this one, I decided to #yolo and buy it since the design and colours match the house so much better. Does anyone want to buy my first lamp for cheap? 😜 Trust us when we say that a fan is essential for the dining room. We didn't have one in our previous house and it was so hot that we never ate at our dining table before 😅 Lesson learnt so we made sure to get one this time, and we fixed it on the wall so as not to take up valuable floor real estate. As it turns out, this Fanco vino 18" corner fan comes in colours that match our dining area perfectly!
