  • Welcome to our living room! We haven't showcased this space much during our house tour or on our IG, so here's a snapshot of it. Just like our bedroom, we opted for cool and neutral tones of white and grey, sticking to a classic and timeless theme. We chose grey curtains to help block out the sunlight. Though they aren't full blackout curtains, their dark color effectively blocks out light and heat. Additionally, we've installed solar panels on our windows (check out our DIY project on IG @2chocolatecaramel). Our unit gets plenty of sunlight, providing just the right amount of brightness for the living room. Being on a high floor, it's quite windy during the nighttime. For the ceiling and walls of the living room, we chose Nippon paint's Snow Flakes 1164.
  • We've received a few inquiries on IG about our ceiling fan, so here's a tip that might be new to some homeowners. We're big fans of the KDK brand and this specific fan model, but KDK only offers it in brown and white. We discovered that its factory in JB sells the exact same model in black, which matches our theme perfectly! Interestingly, Panasonic and KDK fans are manufactured in the same factory but marketed under different brands for different markets. By shipping directly from JB, we saved about $150 per fan. For our three ceiling fans, we saved a total of $450. For homeowners interested in the white and brown fans, please visit the KDK website shared here.
  • For our feature wall, we selected Arova Artica Marble for its cool tones and streaked patterns that match our floor tiles. For the TV, we opted for Samsung's The Frame, which gives a sleek look without protruding. To minimize visible wires, we asked our interior designer to drill a hole at the bottom of the feature wall, hidden by our TV console, to conceal all the wires — a decision we're very happy with. Our TV console, with an easy-to-clean white patterned marble surface, is from Taobao. We also have a Bose speaker, which we highly recommend for its incredible sound quality; from US Amazon.
  • Our living room lights from Zenterra are tri-color, and in the evening, we enjoy the cozy warm lighting. We've also DIY-ed a Xiaomi smart light strip, allowing us to change its color anytime based on our mood for the day!
  • The smart light strip is multicolor and allows you to adjust the speed, color, and patterns according to your preference. It's easy to install using the included tapes or blue tags, which can be attached to the bottom of your TV console, tables, or other furniture. Check out our IG reels for the Xiaomi smart light strip! Thanks for reading through! We hope you find some inspiration for your beautiful home.
