  • Welcome to our living room! It is currently still pretty bare as we only moved in recently. However, the living room was also designed to be minimalist and fuss-free. We were quite certain that we didn't want a TV as we wanted to minimise screen time for ourselves (and hopefully our future kids). But we still needed some movie nights so we opted for a projector set up instead!
  • A non-nego we had for the space was a comfortable sofa. Mrs loves lounging on sofas and a soft, spacious and comfortable sofa was what she looked out for during our shopping hunt. Eventually we settled for this from a furniture shop in JB! It was love and comfort at first sight and we bought it on the spot. It even came with free delivery :D
  • Because we wanted to keep the space as open as possible, we opted for a motorised screen for the projector. This allows us to put it up when it is not in use, keeping the space airy and open!
  • Positioning our living room such that it faces the balcony also gives us a palatable view when we are not using the projector. As you can see, the transformer table was situated in the balcony for this shot, but was out of sight in the shot above! This once again adds to our love for flexibility in the home and the types of furniture we look out for. We plan to green up the balcony over time and hope that our view from the living room will be soothing and calming (and good for our eyes haha)
  • You may be wondering if the projector is going to be situated on the sofa permanently - this is a temporary solution while we source for an ultra short-throw projector and come up with our projector set-up in the long run. Do continue journeying with us as we slowly build up our home :D
