  • Welcome to our master bedroom! This space started as two separate rooms, but we combined them to create a roomy retreat that feels calm and spacious. With soft and warm tones, we wanted a space that feels like a true escape from the day-to-day. Let’s take a closer look!
  • Before the renovation, this space looked quite different. By hacking down the wall between the study and the original master bedroom, we created an open, spacious layout that makes the entire room feel airy.
  • Our bed is now set up in what used to be the study room, while the former master bedroom area has become a wardrobe space. The layout flows well, providing distinct zones for sleeping and storage, which helps keep everything organised and uncluttered. It’s amazing to see how a little reconfiguration can make such a big difference!
  • Right now, the walls in the bedroom are still bare as I’m still on the lookout for the perfect pieces of art to display. It’s been a bit of a journey finding something that truly fits the space, and there’s also the practical side - since my daughter still loves to jump around the bed, hanging artwork could be risky! So for now, we’re embracing a clean and simple look, keeping things open and simple until the right pieces come along.
  • There is no built-in carpentry in our master bedroom. As part of our commitment to sustainability, we carefully sourced preloved pieces for our loose furniture, including the work desk, full-length mirror with built-in accessories storage, Chinese porcelain table lamp and drawer cabinet.
  • We also managed to fit in a cozy workspace for my husband, tucked right between our wardrobes. It’s compact but functional, giving him a quiet, cocooned spot to focus.
  • One of my favourite features in the bedroom has to be the wardrobes. They’re massive and keep all our clothes organised, with room for everything (and more!). I love how much storage they provide while helping frame the space beautifully, adding a sense of depth and structure.
  • In this photo, you can catch a glimpse of our vanity area, which feels so naturally connected to the bedroom that it flows seamlessly with the overall space. The vanity has truly become an extension of the bedroom itself, adding both function and style. If you’re interested in seeing more, I’ve shared all the details about the vanity area in a separate post. Just head to my profile page to check it out. Thanks for joining this little tour; I hope it’s given you some inspiration or ideas for your own space!
