  • Hi HipVan! We’re your homies, also known as @houganghomies 👋🏻 Inspired by homey hotel vibes, we’ve (tried our best to) blend dark contemporary styles with a touch of warmth. It’s our way of creating our own cosy retreat amidst the bustle 🏠 Welcome to our living room - the very first space you’ll see the moment you step through the door. The space is all about the gorgeous grey tones, featuring a standout textured paint wall paired with a mix of black, dark walnut brown and sandy beige furniture. We love how the textured paint wall adds depth and is the perfect backdrop for our minimal approach.
  • Cosy doesn’t begin to describe our versatile 3-seater modular sofa! 🛋️ We’ve occasionally taken it apart, making it a 2-seater if more space is needed.
  • Besides being the centerpiece for our living room, it effortlessly extends into a comfy sofa bed for lounging during movie nights 🎥 or mid-day naps 😴
  • Here’s a peek at our built-in settee, perfectly positioned in between the living room window and sofa. Secretly tucked in the corner are our power plugs for your homies to charge their phones while lounging around. We also love how it ensures everyone has a spot to relax together during large group gatherings.
  • Not only is it a cosy addition to our space, but it also opens up into easily accessible storage—perfect for stashing away larger items. Our plant babies have also claimed their spot on the settee for sunbathing 🪴☀️
  • But here’s the twist: while we love keeping things sleek and simple, we can’t help but sneak in tiny collectibles that represent us/things that we like. Think of it as our secret sauce! From a Smiski perched on the artwork to our alumni bears (did you spot it on the sofa?), we love slipping in these trinkets in the most unexpected spots, making our space feel warm and personal.
  • We’ve learned that minimalism doesn’t mean empty—it’s about curating a space that reflects who we are. Each item reminds us of good memories as we come home to our dark, contemporary haven. So that’s our living room! We can’t wait to share more about our space in the weeks to come 😊
