  • Hey there! We're houseofchamps, a design-conscious couple trying to blend the timeless elegance of Japanese and Scandinavian styles to create our dream home. We know that it can be hard for couples to start thinking about and discussing the theme of their home, which may lead to arguments or conflicts. That's why we’re so glad that both of us loved the Japandi-Scandi theme from the very start! Since we were clear on the theme we wanted, we proceeded to create a mood board for our kitchen, searching online for inspiration. Some of the keywords we used include: japandi kitchen, scandi kitchen, minimalist wooden kitchen, and simple wooden kitchen.
  • Our BTO comes with an open-concept kitchen, which we like because it gives us more flexibility in designing the entire space. Initially, we didn’t think about having a dry pantry until our ID suggested it, and we eventually decided to incorporate it into our kitchen. The dry pantry was a fantastic idea, as it opened up the space even more and gave us additional storage.
  • As for the main cooking area, we decided to keep it simple and requested plenty of storage space so that we can keep the area clean and tidy. We also decided to stick to a maximum of two types of laminates for the entire kitchen to create a unified vibe. That's all for now. Stay tuned and follow us for more posts about our home!
