  • Welcome to our minimalist study/ work room for 2! With flexibility in where we work, we spend about 1-2 days a week working from home. We wanted a simple, fit-for-purpose work room that we can focus and work together. As part of the renovations work, we did not made a major overhaul of this room but simply repainted and changed up the floorings from laminates to these wood-like vinyl. We added the minimalist Wabi Sabi blinds from @Everydaycurtains, for a soft look and to provide some shade when it gets too warm during the day.
  • This is the view when the blinds are up. There are some construction works right in front of our development so not much of a view to speak of for now 😅 The noise from the construction works can get pretty intense but we’re thankful that the windows have some great noise cancelling effects so help block out these noises significantly already. There are no built-in in this room apart from the wardrobe which we didn’t removed. We kept the furnitures simple and easy to move around so we can change up the arrangements where needed. You might have noticed, we went a little unconventional by choosing these dining chairs as our work chairs rather than the ergonomic office ones as we wanted the ability to use these chairs for our guests if needed. We don’t like to sit for too long, so I think not having ergonomic chairs is fine as we like to stand up and walk around once in a while.
  • This is Mrs’ side of the work room - pretty standard: - laptop stand - monitor - keyboard and mouse (not pictured) - table mat There’s not much of a cable management here since there’s only a few electronics. Mrs likes to keep the table clutter free so most of the documents and unused stationeries are stored in the wardrobe. Work table is a solid wood table from @Myseats, made of rubber wood in coffee finish with white legs. We love the fact that the table is made of solid wood, and that we can customize the choice of finishing and size. We also think that their prices are also more wallet friendly compared to other sellers. 😍
  • A closeup of the solid wood table against the camel coloured table mat. Love a little pop of colour for this otherwise woody room 😂
  • This is the Mr’s side of the room - very much a mirror image of Mrs’. Fun fact: The work table is the only piece of furniture that we got 2pcs for the house; all other items are one of its kind. ✌🏼 There are more cables here to manage as we added a router in this room due to the poor connectivity from the main router in the living area.
  • That’s all for our simple work room! It is as basic and as functional as it gets, and that’s what we wanted. 🤓 check out our other Ideas posts for more home inspirations! If you like, do follow us on IG @tanhoms for more home contents!
