  • Hello! @baosathome once again! We are here to share about our home with a virtual house tour. Our house is a 4 room BTO located in Tengah. As this is our first home and we are not very sure on what we need, we decided to do a simple renovation with minimal carpentry built in so that we can still move things around. Presenting our cozy living room, adorned with 99% of the furnitures sourced from Taobao. We are really lucky that almost all our stuffs that we got from Taobao came intact. What we envision for the house is exactly what we truly desire in this photo :) Also, we took a leap of faith and made a last minute decision to paint the color Birch Patina on the wall behind the sofa. No regrets! Because it really enhances the coziness of the house.
  • Here's the layout for our house and we did not do any hacking or whatsoever for our home as we really want to keep our renovation costs as low as possible. However, we did overlay our living room tiles and changed out all our vinyls to the same grey vinyl flooring from floorxpert so that the whole house have a more cohesive look.
  • Our ID kindly changed out the DB box's door to have the same laminate as our concealed bomb shelter door. We decided to have an arched settee as we felt that the curves soften the look of the house. As usual, we simply keep our house simple and clutter free as possible.
  • Our vinyl flooring are installed vertically such that it makes the area from the living room to the dining area looked alot bigger.
  • We have our curtains installed by Kingsley Windows Furnishing and we are very pleased that the curtains matched well our walls.
  • The curves of our furniture complement each other beautifully. :D
  • Are you excited for our kitchen?? Because I am! Here's a sneak peek of our sintered stone countertop from Vulcan.
  • Our kitchen features an open concept design and we didn't made any changes to it because we felt that an open concept kitchen create a sense of spaciousness and allow natural light to flow more freely throughout the home. Take note of how our pendant light, dining table, and chairs all feature curved designs so to soften the look of the entire house.
  • Here's our dining area where we have our meals.
  • We opt for built-ins here because we want to keep our kitchen as clutter free as possible. Our sintered stone countertop are from Vulcan and we chose tiles as our backsplash so that we could lower down the renovation cost.
  • This is our common bathroom where we retained all HDB tiles. We spent the least for our toilets as we felt that the tiles given to us was not too bad. Sometimes, less is more :) We also opt for louvre looks simply because we like how it looked. Again, the mirror is irregularly shaped to make the toilet looked less boring.
  • This is our favorite part of the house. We chose to add display shelves beside our L-shaped wardrobe to showcase our ornaments.
  • The colour Birch Patina was also painted on the wall behind our bed frame. We chose to have a storage bed as well so that we could store more items and keep the house clutter free.
  • The pendant lights and bedside table are both from Taobao and we truly love how our MBR looks.
  • Our L-shaped wardrobe is also curved and we felt like it looks really cute here.
  • Our bed is a queen sized bed from Four Star and here's the place where we truly unwind and have heart to heart talk before we sleep.
  • Noticed how our handles are also curved? hahaha.
  • This is really our favorite part of our house and many people have actually complimented on this area. We can't wait to display more items here!
  • Lastly, the toilet in our MBR. We also didn't do anything much to our toilets. The only thing here is that the aircons pipes run in our master toilet and we box them up here :) We also self-installed retractable and washable insect nets from Taobao around our house and this is one of them. Our bathroom accessories for master toilet and common toilet are both chrome plated as we want to standardize the looks of our toilet. We also purposely chose the same laminate for our bathroom cabinets as we want to keep the color scheme consistent. That's all for our house tour. We will further elaborate on each area of our house in subsequent posts! Do keep a look out!
