💫 From a blank canvas to a cozy, curated home, sharing our renovation journey and how we transformed a cold, echoey space into a warm and functional nest we truly love. Scroll down to see the Before vs After! 👇🏻👇🏻👇🏻 We moved into this space with a clear idea of the mood we wanted, but the previous layout and finishes didn’t feel like us, so we decided to revamp almost the entire home! 🙌🏼 🍀 Before: The entrance felt narrow, dim, and underutilized — basically a blank space leading straight to the kitchen, which we felt was a wasted opportunity. ⚡️After: We transformed it into a functional and welcoming area with lower cabinets for storage, a built-in shelving display that doubles as a coffee corner and dry pantry, and warm ambient lighting. The custom coffee setup has become our cozy little morning ritual spot! ☕️🌟 🍀 Before: Plain walls, original HDB tiles, and harsh lighting made the space feel cold and echoey. ⚡️After: With soft curtains, wood-textured flooring, layered lighting, and a calming neutral palette, the living room finally feels like a place we can unwind and feel at home. 🍀 Before: There wasn’t really a defined dining space due to the cramped layout between the living area and the original dining table. So we decided to relocate the dining zone to just past the entrance (I’ve shared more about this in another house tour post — feel free to check it out!). ⚡️After: We brought in a curved-edge dining table that flows naturally with the space, added pendant lights for a cozy touch, and now it serves as both our dining and working area. 🍀 Before: The previous kitchen was boxed in and felt dated, with basic finishes and limited natural light. ⚡️After: We refreshed it with cleaner lines, hacked the wall between the kitchen and the yard to improve light flow, and added a minimalist countertop extension for small appliances and daily use. 🍀 Before: Standard fixtures and harsh white lights made the space feel purely functional, not relaxing. ⚡️After: We introduced softer lighting, upgraded fittings, and a few design touches to make it feel more like a serene retreat, not just a basic washroom. 🍀 Before: The room was empty and came with the original parquet flooring, which surprisingly matched our cozy theme. It had potential but lacked personality and warmth. After: With tone-on-tone textiles, wood-accented furniture, a built-in headboard, and ambient lighting, the bedroom now feels calm, cohesive, and tailored to our lifestyle.
