  • Welcome to the master bedroom of beaconstrips! This is where we wind down, and get the best sleep that we can get. While our living room is colourful and exciting, our bedroom is more muted compared to it. This is where N has her alone time while H takes over the living room, gaming on his PS5. During the process of renovation, our ID suggested putting an electrical socket behind the area of our TV. We liked that we couldn't see the wires and it gives our room an almost hotel-like suite.
  • To maximise the space in our room, we opted for a storage bed so we could hide our bedsheets, extra clothes and things so it is out of sight and out of mind.
  • While the bedroom is more muted in comparison to the home, we try to bring in common features from the home into the bedroom. We got this clothes hook from Taobao, and we love the retro aesthetic of this.
  • H's bedside table has a head-shaped lamp from Ikea that you could put a cap and sunglasses on for the fun of it. Another bedroom essential is a room spray; a good tool to have when you're winding down to recharge yourself. We put our Google home here too, and we could use it to switch off the TV or the aircon if we like so we don't have to move out of bed to do so.
  • Instead of having a built-in wardrobe, we opted for a customised solution for our wardrobe. We thought that IKEA's storage solutions were adequate for our needs, and we were able to create an L-shaped PAX wardrobe from IKEA. Since we're thinking of having cats, we got an air purifier for our room just to future-proof ourselves since H is a bit allergic to cats.
  • The only carpentry we did for the room was N's vanity area. N wanted a comfortable space to get ready. When we have more guests in our home, we will use N's stool to create more seating for our guests.
  • Just like our living room, this doughnut lamp emits a cosy orange glow. This lamp would often be the only light in the room before we dozed off into a slumber. Apart from our essential room spray, we have another diffuser that was made and gifted by a friend. We wish we could tag this item but it is not for sale just yet. That's all for our simple bedroom. Beaconstrips, out!
