  • Hello everyone! ⋆.˚ ☾ .⭒˚ This week, we will be talking more about our safe haven, where we chill and recharge every night. Following the colour palette of our home, we used forest green as an accent wall; the walnut wood laminate for our wardrobe and dressing table as well as a cream laminate for the wardrobe doors as a contrast. This colour combination really works in giving us a sense of calmness.
  • So our unwind routine consists of us taking a shower first to wash off all our exhaustion from work :') We have chosen the Louvre door because of how classic it looks, it just blends in really well with our home.
  • This is the MBR wardrobe that we had in mind when designing our home and we are so glad that the carpenter was able to meet our expectations. To make use of the space between the wardrobe and the bed, we extended the dressing table out, did a piece of fluted glass for details and a large oval 360° mirror.
  • We created a niche in the wardrobe/dressing table for easy storage of my beauty products, my husband also installed LED lights which serves both function and aesthetic purposes. We also planned for electrical sockets for the hair dryer and hair curler etc.
  • And the LED lights in the wardrobe and niche are all controlled using a smart switch which makes it very convenient :)
  • With the 360° mirror. I can turn the mirror to any angle, and check my outfits easily.
  • We asked the carpenter to gently curve the edges, to prevent any bumps (especially when we are extremely sleepy in the morning haha) since it's going to be a high traffic area for us. We planned a drawer there which is extremely useful for me to keep my make-up items. There is also more storage space at the bottom in order to reduce wasted space.
  • Blackout curtains is an absolute essential for my husband, and he has made that smart as well so that we are able to open and close the curtains even if we are too lazy to move from the bed. If you are interested to do that, remember to factor in the electrical points and space needed for the smart curtain rails. We also have a bedside lamp switch and electrical sockets hidden behind our bedside table on both sides so that we can charge our gadgets.
  • Another essential would be our nebulizer and we have using these scents on rotation. It makes the room smell heavenly and really helps us to relax. The nebulizer has a timer function so it turns off automatically after 1 - 3 hours :) (Thanks Hipvan for the Scent Supply Co Diffuser Oil!)
  • When it's time for bed, we only leave these bedside lamps on. Using the remote control, we can create a cozy atmosphere by dimming and adjusting the colour and warmth. We are also able to switch off the lamps with just a click or using our Google home so yes, no more scissors paper stone to see who switches off the lights!
  • The bed and bedroom that we miss dearly when we are at work or on holidays. We are believers of having separate duvets, because we both like to wrap ourselves up like burritoes when sleeping haha.
  • A view of our wardrobe in the morning, besides the dressing table, we basically had all the sharp corners/edges rounded so that it looks softer overall.
  • A laundry basket in the corner of our room.
  • Do you think our bedroom looks bed-ter in the day or in the night? :) Thank you for reading our posts, and we hope you enjoyed the bedroom tour. See you next week or on Instagram, as always, have a great weekend!
